Mildred Linn, 79, of Alden

Funeral services for Mildred (Milly) Norma Linn of Alden will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, at Bayview /Freeborn Funeral Home in Albert Lea. The Rev. Curtis L. Zieske of Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Milly died on Monday, June 5, 2005, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

Milly Linn was born Feb. 17, 1927, the daughter of George and Elsie Hanson in Fergus Falls after the death of her father. The family then moved to Zumbrota where she was raised and also graduated in 1946. After graduation Milly moved to Minneapolis, had various jobs and then married LaVerne Jarman and had one son, Jerry. They later divorced and she married Carl Stevens and had one daughter, Vickie, and then later divorced. Twenty years later she moved to Albert Lea and worked at the DeSoto Egg plant and met and married Myron Linn on June 9, 1973.

Milly loved to fish, camp, crochet and play crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed reading and watching game shows.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her son Jerry Jarman of Albert Lea; daughter Vicki McFarland of Oklahoma; four stepchildren Mark Linn, Napa Valley, Calif., Jeff Linn, Alden, David Linn and his wife Rhonda, Alden, Karen Jacobs and her husband Lee of Alden; two grandchildren Amanda and Mark McFarland, Oklahoma; 12 step-grandchildren Michelle Linn, Nicole Linn and Mark Anthony Linn of Napa Valley, Calif., Shawn Linn and wife Jane of Alden, Jeremy Linn and wife Tricia, Conger, Amy Hart and husband Kemlin, Conger,

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Elsie Hanson; two brothers, Lloyd and Melvin; two sisters Myrtle Christiansen of Albert Lea and Gladys Hanson of Rochester; her husband Myron in 2004; and a stepdaughter Sharon Meuser.
