Two selected for the all-star softball series

Two area softball players were selected for the 18th Annual Minnesota High School All-Star Girls Softball Series.

The series, which will take place June 11, will feature 88 of the state’s best senior softball players along with 16 outstanding high school coaches.

Glenville-Emmons senior Jordan Claussen and United South Central senior Coryn Stevermer were chosen for the honor. The all-stars are chosen by the Minnesota High School Fastpitch Coaches

Association to represent all graduating seniors and are recognized as Minnesota’s premier softball players.

The All-Star Series will include a breakfast buffet for the players, coaches, umpires, staff and volunteers as well as opening ceremonies, 12 games and closing ceremonies.

There will be three educational scholarships awarded.

The games will be held at Caswell Park in North Mankato with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. and games held at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
