Colby Sailor, 34, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Colby Sailor, age 34, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at West Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Colby was called home Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
Colby Christopher Sailor was born July 6, 1972, to Chuck and Dianne (Katzung) Sailor in Albert Lea. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Conger. He graduated from Alden-Conger High School and attended and graduated from Austin Technical College. Colby has been a truck driver, mechanic, painter and presently employed by Pro Trucking. He had been around trucks, motorcycles and horses all his life.
Colby and Marcie Nielsen were married on Aug. 24, 1996, and have three beautiful children: Wyatt, Josie and Laine, who he loved spending time with. He also liked restoring old semis, riding his Harley, boating and playing with his children, when he would become a child himself. Colby enjoyed auto bodywork, painting vehicles, and polishing his truck. He was a member of the Sunset Saddle Club, the American Truck Historical Society and West Freeborn Lutheran Church. He loved rock &8216;n’ roll music and enjoyed being a caregiver to &8220;Dick.&8221;
Survivors include his wife, Marcie; children: Wyatt, Josie, and Laine; mother and father, Charles and Dianne of Conger; brother, Tim and his wife, Miranda and their children: Coltin, Logan, Gage, Shayanne and Payton of Conger; grandmother, Evelyn Sailor of Alden; uncle, Dan Sailor of Albert Lea; aunts: Cheryl Sailor-Hatle of Albert Lea; Kathy Babcock of Henderson, Nev., and Barb Kirsch of Albert Lea; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pete and Karen Nielsen; godmother, JoAnn Holstad; cousins: Shawn and wife, Lena Kirsch, Troy Kirsch and special friend Sara Nelson, Kyle Kirsch, Todd and wife, Shari Sailor, Travis Sailor, Tommy Cartin, Angie Hatle, Ivy Babcock, and Shane and wife, Jolene Babcock; and many, many special friends and other relatives.
Colby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold &8220;Ole&8221; Sailor and Leo and Donna Katzung; great-grandmother, Mary Nelson, brother-in-law, Danny Nielsen; uncle, Greg Hatle; grandfathers-in-law, Faye Severtson and Donald Nielsen; and his special horse, &8220;Smokie.&8221;
