David Renchin Sr., 75, Albert Lea

Memorial services for David J. Renchin, age 75, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at the Church of St. Theodore. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Freeborn County servicemen’s organizations. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Visitation continues one hour prior to the services at the church.
David died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Oak Park Place in Albert Lea.
David Joseph Renchin Sr. was born Oct. 27, 1930, to Joseph D. and Dora M. (Houdek) Renchin in Owatonna. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. David was united in marriage to Alleen Young on Oct. 25, 1954, in Belfast, Maine. He was employed as a Lead Person in the Wood Shop at Streater’s for 32 years, retiring in 1990. David enjoyed fishing and watching the Twins and Vikings. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. David was a member of the Church of St. Theodore, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
Survivors include his seven sons: Joe and his wife, Anita Renchin of Lakeville and children, Amanda and her husband, Andrei Boyarshinov and their baby and Jake, Steve and his wife, Judy Renchin of Albert Lea and children, Stacia and her husband, Travis Pudenz and children, Morgan Beckmann and Wiatte Pudenz, and Kristin and her husband, Matt Larson and their son, Riley, Jeff Renchin and his special friend, April of Glenville and children, Jamie and his wife, Carrie, Christopher, and Cory, Fredric and his wife, Tara Renchin of Albert Lea and children, Amanda, Jared, Jace, Emma, and Abby, Duane Renchin and his special friend, Tammy of Owatonna and children, Heidi and Ashley, Charles Renchin of Albert Lea, and David Renchin Jr. and his special friend, Theresa of Mason City, and children, Mikayla and Andrew; sisters: Dorothy Virnig, Theresa Kasper, Frances Blakestad, Margaret Koziolek, Sylvia Ginder, Alice Arnold, and Rosemary Besch; and special family friends, Robin Reistad, Kris Renchin, and Cheryl Renchin.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dora; his wife, Alleen; and sister, Rozella Renchin in infancy.
