G-E falls in 10

NEW RICHLAND &045;&160;The Glenville-Emmons Legion baseball team saw its postseason run come to an end Saturday when it fell to Lake City 16-11 in 10 innings.

G-E battled hard, as it has done throughout all of the postseason, but a five-run 10th inning proved to be to much to overcome.

Wade Flattum and Nathan Cooper led the G-E offense with three hits apiece while Justin Flattum added two base knocks.

G-E scored one run in the bottom of the 10th inning and had the bases loaded when the game ended on a controversial call at first base. The runner was initially called safe, but on appeal to the umpire he was called out.

Justin Flattum started the game giving up six earned runs in 4 1/3 innings before Devin Kaasa and Bridger Bjorklund finished the game.

G-E finished the postseason with a 4-3 record and a

6-16 overall mark.
