Nancy Sullivan, 59, Rochester

Nancy J. Sullivan, of Rochester, died June 10, 2006, at Seasons Hospice, at the age of 59. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 14, at Resurrection Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Macken Funeral Home and also one hour in advance of the service at the church.
Nancy was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Mankato. She married Dennis M. Sullivan in 1967 and later divorced. Following her marriage they lived in the Twin Cities and moved to Albert Lea in 1978. She moved to Rochester in 1993 and has lived there since. She was a 1964 graduate of Good Council Academy of Mankato, a 1968 graduate of Creighton University, Omaha, and received a master’s from St. Marys University in 1997. Nancy was an employee at the Mayo Clinic. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and antiqueing.
Nancy is survived by her mother Gretchen A. Riley of North Mankato; her children Matthew E. (Natalie) Sullivan of Medina and Patrick M. (Anna) Sullivan of Hugo. Also surviving are her siblings Kathy (Tom) McArthur of St. Peter, Mary Oney of Byron, Peggy Johns of Rochester, Tom (Corrine) Riley of North Mankato, and Dan (Kristi Koelfgen) Riley of Bloomington and four grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father.
The family prefers memorials to Seasons Hospice or Mayo Clinic for pancreatic research. Macken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
