Amanda Carlson, 23, Rochester

Amanda Suzanne Carlson, from Rochester, Minn., died Aug. 22, 2006, at the age of 23, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Amanda was born April 3, 1983, in Rochester, Minn.

She is survived by her father Larry Carlson, wife Debbie, of Rochester and her mother Paulette (Seeger) Zenner, husband Michael, of Rochester. Also surviving are her brother Nathan Carlson of Rochester and her half-brother: Jeffrey (Julie) Carlson of Rochester.

Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She was a life-long resident born and raised in Rochester, Minn. She attended Lincoln at Mann Elementary School and graduated from Mayo High School in 2003. She later graduated from

TAP (Transition to Adult Program). She worked for Hy-Vee South for the past four years. She volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, enjoyed rollerblading, craft beading and communicating with her friends on the Internet.

A funeral service was at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at Bethel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Linda Helberg officiating. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.

Family prefers memorials to the Ronald McDonald House.

Macken Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
