Robert A. Calderon, 53, of 6150 Wayside Circle, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at St. Luke&8217;s Hospital from complications of multiple myeloma.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories where friends may call after noon today. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Bob was born on Dec. 16, 1952, in Albert Lea, the son of Reuben and Zoila Calderon. He married Constance Thompson on Sept. 6, 1974 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Bob graduated from Mt. Mercy College and was a systems engineer at Rockwell-Collins for over 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking, sailing golf and especially time spent with his beloved family.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; a daughter, Brigett of Cedar Rapids; his parents, Reuben and Zoila Calderon of Albert Lea; five brothers, Mario of Eagan, Reuben Jr. (Jon) of Dripping Springs, Texas, Tony of Kearney, Neb., Steve (Wanda) of Burnsville and Michael (Diane) of Fairborn, Ohio; two sisters, Cathy Calderon of Austin, and Cindy Calderon and her fianc/, Mark, of Woodbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Lukes Hospice, Gems of Hope or the American Cancer Society in Bob’s name.
