Sandra Meaney, formerly of Albert Lea and Grand Meadow, was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Winnebago County, Iowa. She died in her sleep at home of natural causes on Aug. 10, 2006. Per her final wishes there will be no services. Her body was donated to Mayo Medical School.

Sandy, also known as &8220;Nana,&8221; lived for her grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Anyone who would wish to give to a memorial please donate to the American Diabetes Association or the Freeborn County Crime Victim’s Crisis Center.
