Alvina Luella Nelson, age 89, of West St. Paul, formerly of Owatonna, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at Southview Acres Health Care Center.

She was born May 16, 1908, in Wimbledon, N.D., the daughter of Ole and Josephine (Lenning) Jacobson.

She was a very nurturing person and full of love. She was a role model to her family and those who knew her. She had enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by children Annetta and Eugene Dienst of Colorado Springs, Colo., Victor and Mary Nelson of Albert Lea, Marie and Gary Kedziora of Eagan, and Carol Lynn and Richard Watts of Owatonna; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor, three brothers and seven sisters.
