We would like to thank all the local student-athletes &8212; elementary, middle school and high school &8212; for exhibiting good sportsmanship. It&8217;s been good to see kids hand the ball to the officials, be polite and respectful toward them and the fans.

A lot of credit goes to the coaches, too. It seems coaches, parents and students around here remember that sports contests are indeed only games.
