NEW RICHLAND &045; The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls&8217; cross country team finished third at their own Tiger Invite Tuesday.

The Panthers were led by Karla Lewer who took ninth place in 17:31 while Danielle Krueger was 17th in 18:25.

Heather Schmit finished just outside the top 20 in 21st place with a time of 19:31, Heather Malakowsky was 25th finishing in 20:16 and Ashley Bauman was 26th posting a time of 20:24.

Ashley Mortenson and Kelly Byron rounded out the Panther varsity with 32nd and 36th place showings, respectively.

Josh Schroeder led the Panther boys&8217; team with a 12th place effort in 19:28. Mark Thorson took 20th in 20:32, Nic Barnett finished 29th in 21:33 and Josh Beatty rounded out the top four in 22:33. Matt Bartsch completed the varsity with a 37th place run in 22:34.

Waseca swept both the boys&8217; and girls&8217; races.
