Shirley Ann Folven, 71, of Erie, Colo., died Sept. 1, 2006, at Hospice Care Center of Louisville, Colo.

A private family graveside service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.

M.P. Murphy & Associates-Funeral Directors of Boulder, Colo., are in charge of arrangements.

Shirley was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Wells, to Othilda (Elmer) and Peter C. Johannsen. She graduated from Albert Lea High School. She married David A. Folven on July 22, 1961, in Albert Lea, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lutheran church. She enjoyed baseball and travel.

Shirley had been a resident of Erie since July 1, 2006, coming from Northglenn, Colo.

She is survived by her husband, David A. Folven of Erie; two sons, Scott Folven of Erie and Clint Folven of

Wheat Ridge, Colo.; two sisters, Florence Sigurdson of Albert Lea and Lavonne Lande of Lake Park, Minn.; and one granddaughter.
