FARIBAULT &045; The Albert Lea boys&8217; soccer team dominated play for nearly 70 minutes against Faribault, but two Falcon goals in the final 10 minutes sent the Tigers home with a 2-0 defeat.

Evan Hegwood came up big in goal for the Tigers making several big early saves, and while the offense dominated shots on goal Albert Lea could not find anyone who could put it past the keeper.

Faribault&8217;s first goal came when a loose ball at the six was ushered in while the final tally came when the ball was deflected off a Falcon attacker and into the goal.

&8220;The biggest thing to come out of this game is the fact that we have to find some offense,&8221; Tiger head coach Elia Romano said. &8220;We had lots of possessions and lots of opportunities but we are not scoring, we are not following shots.

&8220;This team has to find belief in itself and play like it has shown it can at times this season.&8221;

Albert Lea did have to play in very wet conditions without two of its top players in Zack McGinnis and Filipe Ambriz.

The Tigers have six games remaining before sections starting with a crucial match against section for Mankato Loyola Saturday.
