USC dominates Fairmont to win

The No. 6 United South Central girls&8217; tennis team improved its record to 2-1 on the season with a 7-0 win over Fairmont, Thursday.

Jill Stenzel got the Rebels off to a strong start winning her No. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-1 while Andrea Allis did not waste anytime on the court downing her opponent without dropping a single

game in two sets.

Jordan Anderson was nearly as dominant at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory and Carolyn Schmitz was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 4 singles.

The doubles teams were led by the new grouping of Amanda Redman and Molly Yokiel at No. 1 as they won convincingly 6-2, 6-0. Jessica Stensrud and Emma Stenzel took their match 6-3, 6-2 and Mandy Huper and Kellie Robbins concluded the sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

The Rebels were back in action this morning when they hosted Owatonna in a makeup match.
