Donna Springer-Trom, 51, Blooming Prairie

Donna Lynn Springer-Trom, age 51, of Blooming Prairie, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Homestead Hospice House after a short battle with cancer.

She was born Feb. 16, 1955, in Owatonna, the daughter of Luvern and Arlene (Eaker) Springer.

Donna graduated from Owatonna High School in 1973. She worked for US West Telephone Company for over 20 years and was working for the Albert Lea Medical Center. While working for the telephone company, Donna was Secretary/Treasurer of CWA Local 7213.

Donna married Roger Trom Oct. 31, 1997, in Owatonna. The couple has lived near Blooming Prairie since their marriage. Donna was a member of the Owatonna Eagle&8217;s Club and was a supporter of the local humane societies.

She had a passion for Arabian horses. Under the name DLS Arabians, Donna raised and showed Arabian horses. Donna was a member of the Minnesota Arabian Horse Association.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; step-daughter, Kristine (and Brad) Pfeifer of Blooming Prairie; mother, Arlene Springer of Owatonna; sister, Diane (and Gary) Wilson of Owatonna; brothers, Dale (and Darlene) Springer of Owatonna, Dennis (and Margo) Springer and David (and Sandi) Springer all of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law, Barb (and Dale) Jacobson of Owatonna; brothers-in-law, Dan (and Beth) Trom of Blooming Prairie, Brian Trom of Owatonna; father-in-law, Donald (and Harriet) Trom of Owatonna and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and her mother-in-law.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 27, at 6 p.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road, Owatonna. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
