Why has America had three deadly school shootings in less than a week.

Why?

Why did a 32-year-old milk truck driver take a dozen girls hostage Monday in the one-room West

Nickel Mines Amish School in Pennsylvania, kill three of the girls and them himself?

Why?

Why did a 53-year-old take several girls hostage at Platte Canyon High School in Bailey, Colo., molest them, kill one and kill himself?

Why?

Why are there grown men killing students? The answer in previous school shootings had often been students lashing out as a result of bullying.

Now there are new questions.

Such as:

Why did a 15-year-old student, upset with a reprimand, allegedly gun down a principal in

Cazenovia, Wis.?

Why?

It would be easy to write these offenders off as disturbed or some easy-to-name term like that.

The usual terms, all of them, probably fit. But there&8217;s more to it that.

There are people in this world we will never understand.
