LEROY &045; The Glenville-Emmons football team racked up nearly 500 yards of total offense but it still wasn&8217;t enough to get a win. The Wolverines fell to LeRoy-Ostrander 46-28.

G-E ran for 213 yards on the ground and threw for 259 in the air.

Quarterback Jarrad Knutson scored first for the Wolverines on a 36-yard scamper and that was followed by a 4-yard pitch-and-catch from Knutson to Logan Hansen but G-E still trailed 24-12 after one.

Knutson would find the end zone once more in the second on a 14-yard run before Hansen scored from 7 yards out to close out the team&8217;s scoring.

G-E gave up a pair of scores on kickoff returns which put them in a hole from the very beginning of the game.

Even with all the yards the offense chewed up, G-E struggled in the red zone coming up empty on a half dozen trips because of penalties, turnovers or downs.

G-E also had a player suffer a significant injury with starting center Josh Flattum suffering a neck injury which sent to Mayo in Rochester but he did have movement in his extremities.

G-E, which fell to 0-5 on the season, is back in action next week when it faces Nicollet at home.
