On Saturday at 4:30 p.m. the Freeborn County Sheriff&8217;s Office, along with the South Central Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 102 Northern Ave. E. in Hollandale.
Gregory Stout, 44, and Amy Mcalister, 31, were arrested for possession of crystal methamphetamine.
They were found in possession of approximately 3 ounces, which has a street value of $10,000.
The couple had been watched for the last week, according to deputy&8217;s reports.
&8220;We&8217;ve wacked the snot out of all of the local labs. Now people are smuggling the drugs up here. We knew these people were bringing up large amounts of drugs from Arizona,&8221; said Chief Deputy Gene Arnold.
The couple was found with $4,700, so they had already been selling some of their product, Arnold said.
Stout and Mcalister are charged with first-degree controlled substance, and face about a seven-year sentence in addition to a large fine, Arnold said.
Crystal meth is worse than the well-known &8220;meth,&8221; it is equivalent of crack cocaine, Arnold said.
