The funeral service for Lucille Anna Johnson of St. John&8217;s Lutheran Home will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church Chapel. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church.

Lucille died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at St. John&8217;s Lutheran Home. She was 92 years old.

Lucille Anna was born on June 24, 1914, to Edward and Caroline (Munson) Evenson in Albert Lea.

She attended schools in Albert Lea. She was baptized by the Rev. Smeby and confirmed by the Rev. J. C. Preus. She was a charter member of First Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for 15 years. She was active in other church activities for many years.

She was married to Harry Nordeen Johnson on Sept. 6, 1935, in Decorah, Iowa, by the Rev. Hoff. After her husband passed away in 1965 she went to work at J. C. Penney where she worked for 15 years and retired in 1979.

She is survived by two sons: Donald and his wife Mary of Apple Valley and Robert and his wife Sharon of Albert Lea, a sister Betty Cassem and her husband Richard of Austin, a number of grandchildren: Brad Johnson and his wife Yukiko of Kasson, Doug Johnson and his wife Anne of Lakeville, Dr. Tim Johnson and his wife Becky of Seattle, Wash., Sarah Swanson and her husband Michael of Sun Prairie, Wis.; great-grandchildren: Gareth and Gavin Johnson, Daniel and Katie Johnson, David and Paul Johnson, Eliza and Aaron Swanson, special nephews: Mark Cassem and his wife Cindy and their children Matthew and Michael; Bruce Cassem and his son Kevin; numerous cousins.
