Bonnie Lou Nore, age 66, of Wells, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at Parkview Care Center in Wells from complications of cancer. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester, Minn. The Rev. Lynn Borgeson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be in Rice Lake Cemetery, Foster Township, Faribault County. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements.
Bonnie Lou Nore was born July 12, 1940, in Mansfield Township, the daughter of Ray H. and Mildred (Janzig) Pfahning. She graduated from Wells High School in 1958. On Oct. 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to Donovan C. Nore at the First Lutheran Church in Wells. They farmed in the Rice Lake area with her father-in-law Carl Nore. She was a member of Rice Lake United Methodist Church and its UMW until its closing in 2005. She was a member of the Rice Lake Red Hat Society, Alanon, and enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes, watching birds and wildlife.
She is survived by: two sisters-in-law: Arlette Pfahning of Bedford, Texas; and Karlene and her husband Bill Gormley of Wells; six nephews: Mike (Kim) Gormley, Dan Gormley, Rodney (Dawn) Pfahning, Kerry (Dorothy) Pfahning, Todd (Lynelle) Pfahning, Kevin (Mindy) Pfahning; three nieces: Karla (Craig) Kleschult, Elizabeth Gormley and Rhonda (Vincent) Reyes; many grand-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donovan in 2002, and brother Norman Pfahning in 2006.
