A 1997 gold Chrysler caught on fire Friday at about noon at the intersection of Wedgewood Road and Highway 13.

The vehicle, which was stuck in the snow, could have started on fire by two possible reasons, said Lt. Tim Watson with the Albert Lea Police Department. Either it did so when its tires were spinning, or else the transmission caught on fire, he said.

Someone driving by helped the car&8217;s driver, a 74-year-old man, escape from the car without any injury.
