David Raimer, 68, Hayward

Memorial services for David E. Raimer, age 68, of Hayward, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Peter Soli will officiate. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Friends will gather one hour prior to the time of the service at Bayview.
David died unexpectedly on Oct. 29, 2006, doing what he enjoyed, working on the farm with the Tennis family.
David Edward Raimer was born Jan. 26, 1938, to Rollie and Emma (Peterson) Raimer in Albert Lea. He was a lifelong resident of Freeborn County. David attended schools in Albert Lea, graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army for two years, serving as a chaplain&8217;s assistant from 1958 to 1960. He also graduated from Austin Jr. College.
David had worked as a farm hand for Philip and Wesley Tennis. He provided transportation for Peder and Jean Legried for many years. David enjoyed classical music and opera. He was a member of the Oakland Lutheran Church.
Survivors include special families that were important to David, the Philip Tennis family, Jean, Virgil, and Michele Legried, and many friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Emma Raimer and his sister, Carol Raimer.
