Edna Severtson, 95, Albert Lea

The memorial service for Edna Wynettia Anderson Severtson of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be in the Carlston Cemetery in rural Alden. Friends may visit with family one hour before service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Home in Albert Lea is assisting the family with arrangements.
Edna died peacefully at Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea, where she has resided for the past few years. She was surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006. She was 95 years old.
She was born April 24, 1911, in Clay County, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Marie (Hanson) Anderson. On Jan. 5, 1929, she married Robert Severtson at her family home near Freeborn.
They made their home in Albert Lea, a loving wife, mother and homemaker. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Edna is survived by her three sons and their wives: Robert (Rita) Severtson of Albert Lea, Warren (Beverly) Severtson of Austin, and Ronald (Rose) Severtson of Duluth; grandchildren: Mary Ann (Lee) Thompson of Welcome, Susan (Bill) Bishop of Owatonna, Sherrie Anderson of Emmons, Paul (Darla) Severtson of Brownsdale, Mark (Nancy) Severtson of Stewartville, Doris (Edward) Saunier of Northfield, John (Linda) Severtson, Jacob Severtson, Jerry (Nikki) Severtson, Donna, Dawn Severtson of Kansas and Kim Reimer; 32 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, a great-grandson, Jacob Severtson and all of her brothers and sisters including: Nels Moranda, Herman, Elmer, Sylvia Jakobson, Goldie Pearl Rasmussen Hanson, Beatrice Peterson, Arthur, Otelia Horning and Bruce Anderson.
