Harold Kinder, 93, Kiester

Harold Raymond Kinder, age 93, of Kiester, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one-hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Kiester, with the Rev. Lynn Borgeson officiating.

Harold Kinder was born the son of Harvey and Mary (Wright) Kinder on Nov. 21, 1913 in Dallas County, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Harold was a barber in Albert Lea and Kiester. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kiester and was an active member. He was an avid reader, enjoyed football, basketball and baseball. He dearly loved his extended family and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Harold is survived by two sisters, Pearl Heinrich of Forest City, Iowa, and Marjorie Kinkade of Waseca; one brother, Dale (Zelda) Kinder of Kiester; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Kinkade and Phyllis Stewart; and one brother Roland Kinder.
