Jason Richard Peterson, 46, Austin

Jason Richard Peterson, age 46 of Austin, died at Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006. He was born April 19, 1960, to Lesley and Evelyn Peterson in Austin. He worked for Carsten Brothers in Hollandale and for McFarland Truck Lines as a spotter for 17 years. He bought the family farm where he and his mother made their home. A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin, Jason liked to take his two dogs, Chinook and Dakota, in his pick-up. He enjoyed fishing, camping and riding his four wheeler.

Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Peterson of Austin; brothers, Robert (Karen) Peterson and Jeffrey (Jane) Peterson of Austin; nieces; nephews; sister-in-law, Jille Peterson of Oakland; brother-in-law, Duane McFarland of Austin. He was preceded in death by his father, Lesley L. Peterson; brothers, Harold L. Peterson and Jhan M. Peterson; sister, Sharon McFarland.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 20,

at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Dr. Andrew Lindahl officiating. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19, at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Casket Bearers are Jeffrey Peterson, Robert Peterson, Scott McFarland, Justin McFarland, Curtis Berg and Jack Bankes. The organist is Millie Masse.
