Edward Howard Olson died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at the New Richland Care Center. Funeral services for Edward H. Olson, age 85, formerly of Ellendale, Minn., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale.

The Rev. Arne Halbakken will officiate. Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the area servicemen&8217;s organizations.

Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the Church.

Edward died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at the New Richland Care Center. Edward Howard Olson was born Dec. 7, 1920, to Hans J. and Lena (Lee) Olson in Summit Township, Steele County.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. Edward was a lifelong resident of the Ellendale area and worked in construction and farmed.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the VFW, and the Eagles. Edward enjoyed going to auctions and especially visiting with people.

Edward is survived by several cousins. His parents preceded him in death.
