Fifteen-year-old arrested for burglary

Police arrested a 15-year-old male for burglary charges Tuesday after he fled from a house at 1101 W. Front St. to the Nelson&8217;s Market Place parking lot.
According to police reports, the home&8217;s owners came to their home on West Front Street and found the individual at about 1:21 p.m.
The individual then ran from the house, through the slough and then officers apprehended him in the Nelson&8217;s parking lot.
Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said there was some property found on the individual. The case is still under investigation to determine what is missing from the home.
Juvenile cited for theft of cosmetics
A female juvenile was cited for misdemeanor theft at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday after allegedly taking $19.57 of cosmetic items from ShopKo.
According to police reports, the female reportedly concealed the items and then left the store without paying for them.
She was released to her mother and grandmother.
