Priscilla Larson, 79, Austin

Priscilla Jane &8220;Sally&8221; Larson, age 79, of Austin, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, in Caledonia.
She was born Jan. 15, 1927, to Homer and Olga (Rushfeldt) Louden in Hayward. She attended school in Albert Lea and Lyle and married Leland &8220;Lee&8221; Larson on May 8, 1946 in Northwood, Iowa.
Sally lived in Fort Lewis, Wash., while Lee was in the service. Moving to Chicago for Lee to attend school, Sally returned with him to Minnesota, where she worked in Albert Lea at a restaurant at a truck stop. In 1953, they took up residence in Austin. An active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church; Sally was a cook at Austin High School and a nursing assistant at St. Mark&8217;s Lutheran Home.
They later joined St. Olaf Lutheran Church. A member of WELCA, St. Olaf Hospital Pink Ladies, 500 Club, Gopher Citizens Band Radio Club and Sons of Norway, she enjoyed square dancing, motorcyle riding, camping and traveling. They visited 50 states and 11 countries, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Sally will be remembered for the great scalloped potatoes and ham that she made.
Survivors include her husband, Leland &8220;Lee&8221; Larson of Caledonia; four sons, Larry Larson of Los Angeles, Calif., Keith (Sharon) Larson of Denver, Colo., Paul (Andrea) Larson of Medford, and James Larson of Caledonia; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Richard (Karen) Louden of Apple Valley and Leinwood Louden of Wausau, Wis.; one sister, Betty (John) Bye of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kristi Koppel officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
