Funeral service for Richard Daryl &8220;Rick&8221; Farris, age 55, of Conger will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Conger.
The Rev. Gary Hanson will officiate.
Interment will be in the Conger Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Freeborn County servicemen&8217;s organizations.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Rick died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
Richard Daryl Farris was born May 16, 1951, to Ivan R. and Mavis C. (Morgan) Farris in Albert Lea.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Alden-Conger High School in 1969.
On Oct. 28, 1972, Rick was united in marriage to Becky Sue Turbett at the East Freeborn Lutheran Church.
He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Eagles, Elks, and the Alden American Legion.
Rick loved motorcycle riding, camping, hunting, fishing, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Becky; sons, Corey and his wife, Crystal Farris and Jason Farris and his special friend, Lindsay Troska; grandsons, Elijah and Brandon Farris; brothers: Randy and his wife, Kathy Farris of Conger, Tim and his wife, Julie Farris of Scarville, Iowa, and Larry and his wife, Pat Farris of Waterville; and several nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Mavis; grandparents; brother, Jerry; and nephew, Jerry &8220;LJ&8221; Farris.
