Woman transported to hospital after car wreck

Deborah Sherburne Brossard, 56, was transported by ambulance to Naeve hospital after a car wreck at the intersection of East Hawthorne Street and Lakewood Avenue at 7:58 a.m. Thursday.

Police said Brossard was traveling southbound on Lakewood Avenue just north of Hawthorne Street when she hit a patch of ice, spun around and hit a retaining wall.

Police arrested Chad Andrew Best, 25, for fourth-degree DWI and open bottle charges at 2:31 a.m. today. at Blake&8217;s Auto Body on Blake Avenue, according to police.

Man arrested after hitting parked cars

George William Wrolson, 74, was arrested for fourth-degree DWI, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Hammer Road and Grand Avenue.

The arrest happened after police received calls from a postal worker who witnessed Wrolson go over the curb a couple different times and hit a few marked cars, according to police reports.

Wrolson fled the scene but when he drove back by later, he was stopped by police.
