Bulldogs finish fourth at tourney

The Lake Mills wrestling team finished fifth at the Graettinger Tournament over the weekend with six wrestlers placing against strong competition.
Wade Hebrink improved to 17-1 on the season winning the title at 125.
Stephan Schwartz at 135 and Eric Hagen at 189 were the Bulldogs&8217; other two finalists. Both wrestlers finished as runners-up to top-ranked wrestlers in their weight.
Jake Brekken finished third at 171, Chandra Peterson was fourth at 119 as was T.J. Ashley at 285. Peter Brekken (152) and Jordan Banwart (215) were both fifth place finishers.
&8220;We need to improve in the third period,&8221; Lake Mills head coach Bill Byrnes said. &8220;As a team, we are still trying to find our groove after break.&8221;
Grattinger won the tournament followed by Sibley-Ocheydan.
The Bulldogs are back in action Thursday when they travel to Manly for a double dual with Osage and NC/NK.
