Funeral services for Leigh Ann Sahli, age 50, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Todd Walsh will officiate.
Visitation is two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at Bayview.
Leigh passed away suddenly Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at her home in Des Moines.
Leigh Ann Sahli was born Sept. 17, 1956, to Bernard and Marianne (Carey) Sahli in Watertown, S.D.
She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1975.
Leigh had worked at &8220;Family Dollar&8221; and was the manager of the apartment complex where she lived.
She enjoyed candle making and especially spending time with &8220;Obie,&8221; her pet Macaw.
Survivors include her mother, Marianne Sahli of Albert Lea; her twin sister and best friend, Jean Sahli of Mason City; brother, Greg (Lydia) of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Carey Schmidt of Albert Lea and Patricia (Dr. William Waugh) of Olympia, Wash.; niece, Megan Manemann; nephews: Brian Sahli, Donald and Steve Schmidt, and Aaron Manemann; also great-nieces and nephews; and Helen Walker and family &8212; her good friend and neighbor for many years.
Leigh was preceded in death by her father, Bernard and her grandparents.
Leigh was a good friend to many and a wonderful sister who was always there when needed.
