Funeral services for Brian Matthew Williams, 20, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea.
The Rev. James Secora will officiate.
Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery, Woodward, Iowa, at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Full military honors will be accorded.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Brian died on Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, in Albert Lea, while home on leave from the U.S. Army.
He was born on May 7, 1986, in Dade City, Fla., the son of Donald and Connie (Lincoln) Williams.
He attended Owatonna and Medford schools.
He had lived in Florida, Iowa and Minnesota.
Brian was currently serving in the U.S. Army based out of Ft. Carson, Colo. and was stationed with his unit in Ramadi, Iraq.
He was a member of the V.F.W.
Brian’s hobbies included listening to music, computers, video games, camping and hiking.
He especially enjoyed being with friends and family.
He will be greatly missed by his family, mother Connie Scott and step father Patrick Rasmussen of Albert Lea; father Donald Williams of Waterloo, Iowa; grandparents, Dorothy Williams of Des Moines, Iowa, and Doris Lincoln of Austin; siblings: Jason (Jennifer) Williams of Pulaski, N.Y., Jaime (Jessica) Williams of Marshalltown, Iowa, Sara Williams and her fianc/, Chad Wood of Austin; stepsister Kate Rasmussen of Burnsville; nieces and nephews Reilly Williams, Jacob Williams, Mason Wood, Alixandra Wood and Madison Wood; aunts and uncles: Leanna Seeck (Dean) of Austin and Sharon (Don) Varnadore of Clermont, Fla; and
cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Lloyd Lincoln Jr. and Clarence Williams.
Brian was a great prankster and always had the ability to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed.
