Wanda Myronm 83, Albert Lea

Memorial Services for Wanda Claire Myrom of Albert Lea will be held at 2:00 P.M. on

Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea.

The Reverend John Bromeland will officiate. Private Interment was held at Graceland Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family one hour before services at the church.

Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Wanda died on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006

in Rochester.

She was 83.

She was born on August 18, 1923, in Rochester, Minn., the daughter of Theodore H. and Edith (Mowery) Keeler.

She attended Ramsey Elementary School in Albert Lea, Albert Lea Junior High and then graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1941.

She attended Albert Lea Junior College until it closed because of WWII. She worked for Wilson and Company in Albert Lea from 1945-1984.

She was first a chemist in the lab and later worked in the shipping department. It was a Wilson’s that Wanda met Allen Myrom of Cambridge, Minn.

They were married on June 22, 1953, at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea.

Wanda was very active in the community during her life.

She was long time member of the Tuesday Literary Club and the Albert Lea Art Center.

She was active in the Gateway Players which preceded the current ACT Theater, and continued to enjoy both the theater and Civic Music presentations.

She and Allen also loved to travel and did so extensively.

A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, her church family was very important to her.

She took great pride in her home, enjoyed flowers, gardening, and entertaining friends.

Wanda was a loyal friend and was a very generous person.

She had a close circle of friends called the &8220;Sewing Club&8221; which has been together since high school graduation 65 years ago, and which has been instrumental in organizing all of the class reunions.

She is survived by her loving husband Allen, sister Shirley Schroer, brother William Keeler and his wife Merlene, half brothers and sisters: Thomas (Barbara) Keeler, Mary Jo Schmidt, Larry (Carol) Keeler, Karen (Robert) Beller, Annette Keeler, Gary (Debra) Keeler, Roberta (Bobbi) Maurer, Elizabeth Keeler, Cheri (David) Weflen and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Edith Mowery Keeler, her father Theodore H. Keeler, her brother Robert Keeler killed in WWII, sister Jane Ildstad, brother Gerald Keeler, sister Joanne Keeler a few weeks after birth, and a nephew Stephen R. Keeler.
