Marilyn Gottberg, 70, Wells

Marilyn Jean &8220;Tiny&8221; Gottberg, age 70 of Wells, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at her home in Wells.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. The Rev. Gerald Giese will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Wells.
Marilyn was born on June 25, 1936, in Wells, the daughter of Kenneth and Evelyn (Bosin) Mertins. She graduated from Wells High School in 1954.
On Feb. 13, 1958, she married Gale Gottberg in Wells. Tiny attended Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated from Mankato State College in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in music and library science. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells and taught Sunday school for many years, she also sang in the Shalom Quartet. She was also a member of the Wells VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, stamp collecting, scrap booking, singing, woodworking, painting, and Hardanger. She was also an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and enjoyed being at the lake.
She is survived by her husband Gale of Wells; two sons: Michael (wife Jackie) Gottberg of Mankato and Patrick Gottberg of Wells; and one daughter Michelle Gottberg of Wells; two sisters: Audrey (husband Glen) Hesseltine of Vienna, Va.; and Bev (husband Robert) Heimann of Kansas City, Kan.; one brother Kenny (wife Colleen) Mertins Jr. of Omaha, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and one infant son.
