DES MOINES, Iowa &8212; Lake Mills senior Stephan Schwartz capped his wrestling career with a fourth place finish at the Iowa State Wrestling Tournament Saturday.

Schwartz faced Ryan Mulnix of North Linn in the third place match at 135 pounds in Class 1A.

Schwartz came up on the short end of a 5-0 decision, but he made the most of his first trip to state in his final season.

After losing his first match at the state meet, Schwartz reeled off four consecutive wins to reach the third place match. His first round loss came to Nate Herda of Central Lyon who ended up winning the state championship.

Schwartz concluded his senior year with a 33-10 record.
