One man died this morning after the semitrailer he was driving went off the road, hit a pillar and then went up in flames at the underpass of the County Road 14 bridge on westbound Interstate 90.
Minnesota State Trooper Chad Dauffenbach said as far as authorities can tell, the man was the only inhabitant in the tractor-trailer.
Authorities did find the man&8217;s wallet, but it was too early to release his information, Dauffenbach said. He was hauling furniture with an ALTL Inc. semitrailer, but at this point, it is unclear where he was headed to or from where he came.
Smoke could be seen from several miles away during the heaviest of the flames, and traffic was stopped for about an hour.
As of 10 a.m. today, the case is still under investigation, Dauffenbach said.
