Curtis Reyerson, 79, Northwood, Iowa

Funeral services for Curtis E. Reyerson, age 79, of Northwood will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Baldwin will officiate. Interment will be in the Silver Lake Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the area Veterans Organizations. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bayview.
Curtis died Friday, March 16, 2007, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
Curtis Elmer Reyerson was born May 4, 1927, to Henry C. and Palma E. (Bendickson) Reyerson in Hartland Township, Worth County, Iowa. He grew up in Iowa and farmed with his father before serving in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. After his discharge, Curtis purchased a dump truck and hauled asphalt. On January 1, 1958, he was united in marriage to Maxine O. Christenson in Clark County, Nev.. Curtis married Sharon A. Cafourek November 19, 1973, in Minnehaha County, S.D. He was a member of the Northwood VFW and Silver Lake Lutheran Church. Curtis enjoyed working in his shop, driving his trucks, working outdoors, and dancing &8212; he had taken &8220;Arthur Murray&8221; dance classes. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children: Bob Diaz of Georgia, Lucy (Jeff) Paulson of Albert Lea, Daniel (Jodi) Reyerson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Ronald Reyerson and his significant other, Denise Jacobson of Albert Lea, Kim (David) Kilian of Waseca, Donald (Susan) Reyerson of Atlantic, Iowa, Chris (Marie) Reyerson of Grand Rapids, and Angela (Kristian) Omicioli of Providence, R.I.; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers: Hank, Bob, Dean, and Duane; sisters, Pearl and Jane; and many nieces and nephews.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; daughters: Vickie, Rebecca, and Mary Lou; brothers: Herb, LeRoy, and Judean; and sisters, Margie and Lorraine.
