Matt died Friday, March 22, 2007, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
Douglas Matthew Felt was born Jan. 15, 1981, to Douglas G. and Sandy L. (Dokken) Felt in Albert Lea. He attended school in Ellendale from the third grade on, graduating from NRHEG in 1999.
Matt was a student at the University of Minnesota – Mankato for his first year of college and was just finishing his associate degree in business management at Riverland Community College.
Survivors include his parents, Doug and Sandy Felt of Geneva; grandparents, Ron and Shirley Felt of Albert Lea and Jim and Arlis Dokken of Alexandria; sister, Sara Agbokou and her husband, Senyo of Austin; nieces, Rhiannon and Leslie; and nephew, Colin.
Matt was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
Matt would want his friends to know that without them he couldn’t have fought as hard as he did. No one gave up on him. Through the five years of his battle, his friends were constantly around him. He would want to thank all of you for being there for him. It meant so much to him to have such a devoted ground of friends. You made his life complete, and he loved each and every one of you.
