Driver injured in accident

Stephen W. Bartelt, 56, of Faribault, was injured when his vehicle ran off the north bound lane of Interstate 35 near County Road 91 and struck a tree at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, according to the Rochester office of the Minnesota State Patrol.
Bartelt was taken to the Albert Lea Medical Center and later transferred to a Rochester hospital, according to a medical center spokeswoman.
Two cited for DWI
Police cited Nicole Marie Marlin, with fourth-degree DWI charges Saturday after a traffic stop at 1:55 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Johnson Street and Minnesota Avenue.
Police cited Darcy Lynn Boemer with fourth-degree DWI charges and third-degree test refusal on Saturday at 2:22 a.m. after a traffic stop at West Front Street and South Washington Avenue.
Damage to van
Criminal damage to a Power 96 van was reported at 10:53 a.m. Friday according to police reports.
Purse stolen
A purse was reported stolen out of a car parked by the Eagles Club at 12:19 p.m. Saturday. Police reports indicated the purse was taken about 30 minutes prior to the call to the police.
