Florabelle Hanson, 89, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Florabelle A. Hanson, age 89, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jamie Camron will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Bayview, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Born Jan. 24, 1918, in Clarks Grove to Henry W and Mabelle Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert D Hanson, sisters Bernice Morrison and June Morrison, brothers-in-law Rudolph W Hanson, Russell E Hanson, and Oscar Reindal, and sisters-in-law Marvel Hanson, and Lilah Reindal. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary Kay and Michael Johnson, two grandchildren and their spouses, Marianne (Mamie) and Daniel Krueger, David and Carol Johnson. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan and Emily Krueger and Tanner Johnson.
Her brothers-in-law MT Morrison, and C Robert Morrison, also survive her.
She graduated from Albert Lea High School, and worked at the American Gas Company. She and Bob were married on May 18th 1940 in Clarks Grove, at the home of her parents. During the World War II she joined her husband, and worked on base at Fort Robinson, Neb. They made life long friends during that time.
Florabelle loved her family, and was beloved by them. Between the Petersons and the Hansons she and Bob were related to most of the residents of Freeborn County, and the rest were friends.
Florabelle was a member of First Baptist Church in Albert Lea and taught Sunday School for many years. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. When Bob retired Florabelle and Bob spent winters in Arizona. After Bob’s death she continued to spend winters with her daughter and son-in-law in Arizona where she could spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The all loved her and fondly called her &8220;G G,&8221; which was a shortened version of Great Grandma.
She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and their spouses, 30 great nieces and nephews and their spouses, 45 great-great nieces and nephews, and one great-great-great nephew.
She will be missed by her many friends and family members.
