Mary Ulve, 75, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Mary Magdalene Ulve will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 until 7 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a scripture prayer service Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.

Mrs. Ulve died Tuesday morning, March 27, 2007 at her home in Albert Lea after a courage’s battle with cancer. She was 75 years of age.

Mary was born Nov. 28, 1931 in Matawan, the daughter of August W. and Amelia H. (Giese) Dusza. She attended St. Casmirs Catholic School in Wells, and the Wells public School. On Oct. 11, 1952, she was united in marriage to Keith D. Ulve in Wells. Mary had lived in Matawan, Wells and Albert Lea since 1952.

Mary was a member of St Theodore Catholic Church, and had worked at Land O&8217;Lakes, The Albert Lea Country Club, Elks Club, and Myre Paint and Hardware. She had also worked at various restaurants and business places in Wells.

Mary was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #447 and the St Theodore’s Guild.

She enjoyed Quilting at St. Theodore, morning coffee with friends, spending time with family and granddaughter, vacation trips with family, shopping for collectables and her card club.

Mary is survived by her husband Keith of Albert Lea; son David of St. Paul. daughter Kimberly and husband Danny O’Brien of Columbia Heights. granddaughter Grace Catherine O’Brien; many nieces and nephews; sisters Cecelia Young of Wells, Therese Ehrich of Albert Lea, Margaret (Ronald) Schoenfeldt of Rapidan; brother-in-law Richard (Jeanne) Ulve of Albert Lea; and sister-in-law Marjorie (William) Schaffer of Austin. Very special friends Brian and Susie Paul and their children Alex and Macy also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents August and Amelia Dusza, one stillborn brother, grandparents and brother-in-law Derald Ehrich.
