Michael A. &8220;Wildchild&8221; Lestrud, age 47, of Austin, died at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester March 9, 2007. He was born Dec. 2, 1959, to Harvey and Donella Faye (Werner) Lestrud in Owatonna. A lifelong Austin resident, Michael was a truck driver. He loved riding his Harleys, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Krueger of Killeen, Texas; mother, Linda Lestrud of Austin; one grandson, Julian Krueger; siblings, Don Lestrud (Bobbe) of Olathe, Kan.; Cindy (Bobby) Kilby of Austin; Kim (James) Erickson of St. Ansgar, Iowa; Brian Lestrud of Austin; Justin (Michelle) Lestrud of Austin; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, his birth mother, Donella; grandparents and one cousin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Philip A. Lewison officiating. Interment will be at Geneva Cemetery in Geneva. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to the family.
