Patricia Anderson, 72, Lake Mills, Iowa

The funeral service for Patricia Jean Anderson will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Pastor Jay Dahlvang will officiate. Burial will be Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before the service at the church.
Patricia died on Monday, March 5, 2007, at Lake Mills Care Center, Lake Mills, Iowa. She was 72 years old.
Patricia Jean was born to Ernest and Doris (Donahue) Mangskau on March 18, 1934, in Albert Lea.
She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church.
She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1952.
Pat married her sweetheart, Rudolph &8220;Rudy&8221; Anderson on Dec. 5, 1953, at Salem Lutheran Church.
Pat worked for a brief time at Sanders Drug Store and did child care for a couple of families.
The rest of her life she was a full-time wife and mother. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, Milky Way candy bars, &8220;I Love Lucy&8221; videos, and her children’s sport activities &8212; particularly wrestling.
Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, Rudolph; her daughter, Vicki (Kent) Reichl of Albert Lea; four sons:
Bruce (Deanna) Anderson of Savage, David (Jean) Anderson of Albert Lea, Todd
(Kathy) Anderson of Andover, and Tim (Sally) Anderson of Farmington; 14 grandchildren:
Chris Reichl of Milton, Fla., Nick Reichl of Albert Lea, Jenita Teachout of St. Cloud, Cassandra Teachout of Vermillion, S.D., Sarah and Laura Anderson of Savage, Dustin, Ross, Rebecca and Faith Anderson of Albert Lea, Chase and Hailey Anderson of Andover, Trayton and Gavin Anderson of Farmington.
Pat is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Emma Reichl of Ashland, Wis., Nathan Reichl of Albert Lea, and Jocelyn Voigt of St. Cloud; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Doris Mangskau; infant baby brothers; mother and father-in-law, Rudolph Sr. and Ethel Anderson; family friend, Len Okre; aunts, uncles, cousin and friends.
Pat remained strong thru the obstacles she faced during the last few years of her life and endured them with a smile on her face.
She was a sweet soul and very, very loved by her family.
The family wishes to thank the entire care staff of the Lake Mills Care Center for the loving care given to their wife and mother. Also, thank you to the Albert Lea Home Health Care workers.
