During a search warrant in Faribault, the Faribault Police Department found fraudulent checks and addresses in Albert Lea, which may indicate the checks had been passed in Albert Lea, according to police reports. There were 14 letters sent to various businesses with information, asking to see if they have received any of the checks. This is an ongoing investigation.

Gas driveoff reported

A $10 gas driveoff was reported at 901 W. Main St. at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports. Reports indicated a male driver in his late 20s was last seen driving the silver Jeep Liberty associated with the driveoff going northbound on Main Street.

Gift cards from forged check used at Home Depot

Police reports indicated that $350 in gift cards purchased with a forged check at the Mankato Home Depot were used at the Albert Lea Home Depot at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday.
