Tiger hockey players are recognized

Several players from the state qualifying Albert Lea boys&8217; hockey team have recently been recognized for their efforts.
Seniors Mark Walton, Clay Casanova, Dustin Arendt and junior Adam Royce were all named to the Big Nine All-Conference Team. Senior Lucas Hanson and juniors Jared Bowman, Casey Woodside and Ben Waalkens were all honorable mentions.
Head coach Roy Nystrom was named the Section 1A Coach of the Year after guiding the Tigers to state where they went 1-2.
Walton and Casanova have also been named to play in the Great 8 Hockey Tournament. Arendt was selected as an alternate for the team. Nystrom was selected to coach the team.
The Tigers have qualified for the state tournament three of the past four seasons.
