Peter Bergen, the first American to interview Osama bin Laden about seven years ago, will be presenting five special two-hour programs on the CNN cable network, Channel 69 in Albert Lea,

starting tonight from 9 to 11 p.m.

Bergen will be working with Anderson Cooper on the program which will be telecast from Afghanistan. The CNN crew has been in that nation for several weeks checking on the present status of the conflict in that nation.

Bergen was recently named to be the senior terrorism analyst for the CNN network, He is the son of D. Thomas Bergen of Washington, D.C., formerly of Albert lea, and the grandson of the late Dr. Francis and Grace Bergen of Albert Lea. His grandfather was a local dentist.
