A bird bath was reported thrown through the window of a vehicle at 922 S. Newton Ave. at 3:46 a.m. Thursday, according to police reports.

Man cited for multiple charges

John Michael Malay of Albert Lea was cited for third-degree DWI, second-degree test refusal, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container violations at 1:53 a.m. today in the Nelson&8217;s Market Place parking lot, according to police reports. Reports indicated police came to the parking lot after getting a call that there was a vehicle that was heavily smoking that had looked like it had been in a wreck. The driver was slumped over in the car. Malay was transported to the Albert Lea Medical Center and was checked out OK.
