LeRoy Joseph Vietor, 79, of Holland, Mich., died March 31, 2007, at Hospice House of Holland.
Mr. Vietor was born in St. Paul to Aleidus and Genevieve (Lutz) Vietor.
At age 15, he and his family moved to Albert
Lea where he worked for his father&8217;s trucking company. He met his future wife Glady Dombroske at Sears while delivering freight, they married on Jan. 18, 1947, in Albert Lea. Later he worked for Wilson and Co. until 1969, when he and Gladys moved to Lakewood, Colo., and he went to work for Coors Brewing Company until his retirement in 1990. They moved to Holland, Mich., in 1999 to be closer to family.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Gladys; children, Michael and Diane Vietor, of Albert Lea, Richard and Doreen Vietor, of Holland, Mich., Judy and Wayne Johnson, of Brighton, Mich., and Greg and Laura Vietor, of Edmund, Okla.; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, David and Marcy Vietor, of Hamilton, Ohio, and Robert Vietor of Austin; sisters, Marian and Dick Greer, of San Antonio, Texas, Irene Santiago, of California, and Joyce Jepson, of Alexandria, Va.
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Thursday, 11 a.m., in the Chapel at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip Nguyen.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
